Week of January 30 LISTENING STATION/EAR BUDS
Monday-- Complete Anticipation Guides. Read/listen to chapter one. ACTIVE READING: FILL IN THE CHART AS YOU GO
Tuesday-- Review and discuss Monday's work.
Wednesday-- FOCUS LESSON: CHARACTERIZATION
Thursday-- Read/listen to chapter two. Use an active reading strategy by filling in the chart as you go.
Friday-- Become the puppet master! Select a puppet to do one of the following: teach someone three (3) vocabulary words from the first two chapters. Choose your words carefully! Make your audience is comfortable with the words and fully understands them.
OR
Create a talk show where you discuss an important character from chapters one OR two. Make sure your guest gets involved with the show by giving his or her reaction. Use that reaction as an opportunity deepen your discussion about a particular character or action within the scene.
