Students, here is the first page of each play.  I think they're showing upside down.  If so, please print it, so you can read it easily.  I tried to fix it, but it is complicated!  Please practice each scene.  Let go of yourself and become the character!  Have fun creating something new!  Remember you are working for your audience!  Make sure they can hear you and vary your voice!  See you in class soon!  9.26.16

For the Week of Sept. 19 - 23
​Monday-  Classes 82 and 74 will complete their mini-genre projects.
Tuesday-  Input the Six Reasons Why we Read ; Learn the Parts of a Dictionary & discuss relevance
Wednesday-  Continue  dictionary skills through exploration
Thursday-   Before Reading:  Vocabulary Study
                          8/7th-- beneficial, cultural, bilingual, complicated, and proficient
                          6th -- enforce, incident, regulate, contentious, inconvenience, and eliminate
Friday-   Continued vocabulary study through gaming; Begin reading if time permits

For the Week of Sept. 12 - 16
Monday- Finish & discuss notes from the previous week.  Afterwards, assign teams & partners for the mini-genre project.
Tuesday- Substitute in class!  I expect my students to conduct research and not play around.  The project will be graded on Friday!
Wednesday- Continue research and answer questions.
Thursday- Finish up any remaining work and begin rehearsing presentations.
Friday- "Professional" presentations will be presented to the teacher.  Grades will be assigned.  Have fun and good luck!

Wednesday- Continue setting up "Reading Notebooks"; Introduce our reward system; Take notes on "What is Reading?"
Thursday- Continue note-taking on "What is Reading?"; Merge sources and create a working definition for ourselves
